20130109-095514.jpgThere are not enough iPhone and iPad case options at CES…said no one ever. So finding a case that really stands out is almost an impossible task. LifeProof really stands out in a sea of offerings, heck it actually floats there too! Not only do these cases meet or exceed MIL STD 810F-516 which means they will withstand drops from 4 feet or 1.2 meters, they are also dustproof and even waterproof to a depth of two meters. Not to mention the fact that these cases do not suffer from the annoying and sometimes embarrassing pocket inversion technology. So if you live a rugged adventurous lifestyle, or have a problem keeping your phone out of the toilet (you know who you are, you’re not fooling anyone with the “I think it got wet in the rain” story) these are the cases for you. I have had the pleasure of using one of their cases in the past and even used it while snorkeling in Bermuda when my so called waterproof camera sustained water damage.

Their latest product is called the LifeProof Nüüd case for iPad. What really makes this case stand out in my opinion is the fact that this case, although waterproof, does not have a protective screen that can be sometimes awkward to use and diminish the crystal clear display of the new iPads.

I had the pleasure of meeting the CEO of LifeProof Gary Rayner who was gracious enough to give me a rundown of the LifeProof offerings.

Check out their website for more information and see all of the accessories they have available including a floating case and don’t miss all of their color options especially the limited edition tactical colors including my favorite DoD green.
