I strongly believe that competition in the market makes all of the competing products better. When that happens the consumer wins. So I was interested when I heard that the guys over at Canonical were running a Ubuntu on a smartphone with a pretty slick mobile interface my interest was peaked.
In this video Mika Meskanen from Canonical gives us a quick demo of the user interface running on the phone.

I look forward to this device but I find it interesting that they have turned linux against itself.
